A53 SEAMLESS & WELDED CARBON STEEL PIPE

ASTM A53 is a carbon steel alloy that can be used as structural steel or for low-pressure piping. ASTM A53 (ASME SA53) Carbon Steel Pipe is a specification that covers seamless, welded black and hot-dip galvanized steel pipe from NPS 1/8" to NPS 26. A53 is suitable for pressure and mechanical applications and is also suitable for general use in steam, water, gas and air lines.

A53 pipe is available in three types (F, E, S) and two grades (A, B).

Type A53F is manufactured with furnace butt welds or may have continuous welds (Grade A only)

Type A53E is made with electric resistance welds (Grades A and B)

Type A53S is seamless pipe and exists in Grades A and B

 

PRODUCT USES

Construction: underground pipelines, ground water, hot water transportation, machining, bearing sleeves, machining machinery parts, etc.

Electrical: natural gas transmission, hydroelectric fluid pipelines, anti-static pipes for wind farms, etc.
