Overview

441 STAINLESS STEEL PLATE

441 stainless steel is the abbreviation of stainless acid-resistant steel, which can resist corrosion by weak corrosive media such as air, steam, water or stainless steel; and steel that resists corrosion by chemical corrosive media (acid, alkali, salt and other chemical corrosion) is called acid-resistant steel.

Due to the difference in chemical composition between the two, their corrosion resistance is different. Ordinary stainless steel is generally not resistant to chemical media corrosion, while acid-resistant steel is generally rust-resistant. It does not just refer to one type of stainless steel. The term "stainless steel" also refers to more than one hundred types of industrial stainless steel, each of which has good performance in its specific application field. The key is to first understand the purpose of the steel type and then determine the correct variety. There are generally only 6 types of steel related to the application field of building structures. These alloys all contain 17~22% chromium, and high-quality steel also contains nickel. Adding molybdenum to the atmosphere can further increase the content in the atmosphere, especially to resist chloride atmospheric corrosion.

Stainless steel refers to steel that is corroded in weak corrosive media such as air, steam, water, and in chemical infiltration media such as acid, alkali, and salt. It is also called stainless acid-resistant steel. In practice, steel that is resistant to corrosion by weak corrosive media is often called stainless steel, and steel that is resistant to corrosion by chemical media is called acid-resistant steel. Because of their different chemical compositions, the former is not necessarily resistant to corrosion by chemical media, while the latter is generally stainless. The heat resistance of stainless steel depends on the alloying elements in the steel.
