Overview
441 stainless steel is the abbreviation of stainless acid-resistant steel, which can resist corrosion by weak corrosive media such as air, steam, water or stainless steel; and steel that resists corrosion by chemical corrosive media (chemical corrosion such as acid, alkali, salt, etc.) is called acid-resistant steel.
Stainless steel refers to steel that is corroded in weak corrosive media such as air, steam, water, and chemical infiltration media such as acid, alkali, and salt. It is also called stainless acid-resistant steel. In practice, steel that is resistant to corrosion by weak corrosive media is often called stainless steel, and steel that is resistant to corrosion by chemical media is called acid-resistant steel. Because of the different chemical compositions of the two, the former is not necessarily resistant to corrosion by chemical media, while the latter is generally rust-resistant. The heat resistance of stainless steel depends on the alloying elements in the steel.
Due to the difference in chemical composition between the two, their corrosion resistance is different. Ordinary stainless steel is generally not resistant to corrosion by chemical media, while acid-resistant steel is generally rust-resistant. It does not only refer to one type of stainless steel, but also refers to more than one hundred types of industrial stainless steel, each of which has good performance in its specific application field. The key is to first understand the purpose of the steel grade and then determine the correct type. There are generally only 6 types of steel related to the application field of building structures. These alloys contain 17~22% chromium, and high-quality steels also contain nickel. Adding molybdenum to the atmosphere can further increase the content in the atmosphere, especially for resistance to chloride atmospheric corrosion.
Characteristics of 441 stainless steel plate:
1) High temperature corrosion resistance;
2) Weldability;
3) High temperature strength;
4) Magnetic;
5) Excellent processability.
